Project - Sealing a 400mm Pre-Insulated District Heating Pipe 

Installation:

Our client required four mechanical seals to secure large lateral ducting that housed a 400mm pre-insulated pipe. These seals were essential to prevent the ingress and egress of water and gas. Given that these pipes carry hot water and have a large diameter, the seals needed to accommodate movement. The seals we used on this project allow for an 8-degree deviation and axial movement, ensuring long-lasting performance by adapting to the natural shifts and adjustments in your systems.

Project - Removing old compound, cutting back the black duct to re-seal using Kraso's SD30-T Split mechanical Seal 

Installation:

A fully trained contractor specialising in our compound and mechanical duct seals was dispatched to the site to replace outdated compound re-enterable seals. The existing seals utilised a triangular-shaped foam and red sealant, which had begun to leak along the outer edge of the duct. To rectify the issue, the contractor cut back the duct and resealed it using mechanical duct seals from Kraso, chosen for their ability to be installed even in conditions with running water.
