GreenStuff is the next generation in cabinet base sealing solutions, designed to protect and improve the efficiency of telecom cabinets, LV distribution cabinets, public lighting cabinets, feeder pillars, traffic control cabinets, and outdoor transformer stations.
This cutting-edge, non-hazardous resin prevents moisture ingress, pest intrusion, and the growth of weeds or plant roots, helping critical components last longer and perform better.
GreenStuff stands out from traditional products because it’s far easier to re-enter, making future maintenance simpler and faster. Its innovative formulation allows smooth, hassle-free re-entry for evolving infrastructure needs.
Proudly Made in Britain and officially certified, GreenStuff is manufactured to high standards, supporting local industry while delivering exceptional quality. Its eco-conscious formulation and time/cost savings make it ideal for modern infrastructure projects.
With GreenStuff, you’re not just sealing—you’re investing in sustainability, reliability, health & safety, and superior performance.
What is Cabinet Base Sealant?
Cabinet base sealant is a specially formulated, flowable compound used to permanently seal the base of outdoor enclosures—such as street cabinets, telecom boxes, transformer stations, and feeder pillars—where cables, conduits, or ground rods enter from below. It protects sensitive electrical equipment by blocking moisture, rodents, insects, and plant growth from entering through the base.
Key Benefits
-
Secures enclosures: Forms a permanent barrier against water ingress, rodents, snakes, insects, and plant roots to maintain internal cleanliness and safety.
-
Improves equipment lifespan: Reduces humidity and biological intrusion to minimise corrosion and interference.
-
Self-levelling & easy to apply: Flows and levels itself in the base—no mixing or special tools required.
-
Re-enterable for maintenance: Unlike concrete, foams, or solid-setting resins, GreenStuff remains cuttable for future access so installers can add/remove cables without destroying the seal.
-
Climate protection: Helps stabilise the enclosure microclimate by reducing humidity and condensation, lowering the risk of signal loss, corrosion, and insulation failure.
-
Fast, clean, permanent: One-component, non-hazardous; no mixing or water needed.

Applications
-
LV distribution cabinets
-
Public lighting cabinets
-
Feeder pillars
-
Traffic control cabinets
-
Outdoor transformer stations
-
Telecom cabinets
-
Any installation requiring pest/weed prevention and climate control
Important Notes
-
Skin time: Up to 2 hours depending on conditions (surface may remain tacky for 48 hours).
-
Full cure: Up to 20 days depending on temperature and humidity.
-
Removal: Very easy—break the seal from the inside edge of the cabinet and remove as required.
-
Seasonal note: Curing is slower in winter; a strong skin will form, but the material may remain slightly soft underneath.
Safety
-
EUH208: Contains Trimethoxyvinylsilane (CAS 2768-02-7). May produce an allergic reaction. Wear gloves.
-
Disposal: Once cured in the container, discard as standard domestic waste.
Handling
-
One-component product—shake for 30 seconds before use.
-
Partial use allowed; reseal with the screw cap and the product remains usable for up to one week.
-
Self-levelling formulation.
Contents
-
1 × 2.5 L container of GreenStuff resin
-
3 × circular foam disks (included when bought as a kit; 2.5 L containers also sold individually)
-
1 × pair of nitrile gloves
Site Preparation
-
Can be poured directly onto fairly dry concrete—no sand required.
-
If standing water is present: sprinkle cement to absorb moisture and form a crust before pouring.
